Attend five TATD conventions prior to their senior year in high school (the 2020 convention that was not held will not be counted against you)
TATD enjoys investing in dance students and helping them further their education. Each year, we award TATD Merit Scholarships to deserving high school seniors who have made TATD an important part of their dance education.
TATD also awards Convention Scholarships. We will award up to 10 scholarships at this year’s convention: two from each division of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop and All-Around.
To be eligible for scholarships, students must be registered in the proper age bracket: age 13 or younger for Junior; age 13 or older for Senior. Placement of 13-year-old students is at the discretion of the instructor. Students younger than age 13 are not permitted in Senior room. The previous scholarship winners cannot be eligible for the current scholarship. Last year’s winners will be recognized during orientation.
Judges will be looking for potential, enthusiasm, participation, ability, technique and basic appearance. The score is based on a 1 to 5 scale, with 1 being the lowest point and 5 being the highest. Judges will monitor every class and make scholarship recommendations along with the choreographers.
