TATD has quite a history – and I’m proud to say it has been in existence for 90 years. It is one of the nation’s leading dance teaching organizations and conventions. TATD’s mission today remains the same as it was at its origination:
“To keep the art of dancing and the dance teaching profession on the highest level by upholding its ideals and principles and passing those principles on to the next generations of teachers.”
As President in 2020, it is an honor and a privilege to serve TATD and its membership. I am grateful to this organization for a life-time of support. I have been a member since 1976, when I was introduced to it by my teaching mentor. Throughout my dance career, membership in TATD has been an invaluable teaching resource. Also, it has provided me an outstanding professional network from which I have made life-time colleagues, mentors, and friends.
The TATD Board of Directors is committed to providing you an outstanding convention experience. The convention’s faculty are among the nation’s finest, the facility is outstanding, and the environment is unique and non-competitive.
Please join us for our convention June 20 -24, 2021 at the Sugarland Marriott Hotel at Sugarland, Texas. If you are not already a member of TATD, we look forward to meeting you and hope that you consider membership so that you too can become a part of this outstanding organization. While TATD is a Texas Association, we welcome members from all over the nation! We have members from New York, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Come join us!
